And More Than That ...

A quick update to an earlier story I posted on. I hope the posters at Jim Hoft's site read this story about Egyptian muslims protecting Egyptian christians on Egyptian X-mas.

That's the coolest thing I've read in a while. It's a start, anyways.

Your Sometimes Hopeful leader.

Nearly as cool as when a Vikings player helps a Packers player up after a play.

This was my favorite part of the article:
"“This is not about us and them,” said Dalia Mustafa, a student who attended mass at Virgin Mary Church on Maraashly. “We are one. This was an attack on Egypt as a whole, and I am standing with the Copts because the only way things will change in this country is if we come together.”

Now, following this excellent example of how religion SHOULD work, I'd like to see Americans, especially Christian Americans, doing more of this, including to aid the continuation of the wrongly characterized ground zero mosque.

If we are going to applaud this we should be demonstrating how much we like this kind of behavior by doing this kind of behavior.

I also went over to the web site you linked as bigoted and offensive (and it was), and commented, including posting the link for muslims protecting christians.

I was a little surprised to see what appeared to be a familiar name in agreement with the islamophobes. I hope it is simply a similar name and not the same person.

Spot: When the players do it, maybe not. But when a Vikings fan helps a Packers fan, that would come close to the same level.

DG: I didn't recognize any names in the comments.
